TWITTER: To enter the Contest through Twitter, tweet your Video (see rule 4) during the Contest Period with the hashtag #tempcaptain (the “Twitter Hashtag”) on Twitter from your Twitter account. Upon doing so, your Video will be reviewed by the Sponsor (or its designated representative(s)) to determine if the Video meets the requirements outlined in rule 7. If determined to be eligible, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, your Video will be considered an official entry (the “Twitter Entry”) into the judging process (see rule 9). FORMAT AND CONTENT:

By submitting a Video, the Entrant grants to the Sponsor the unrestricted right, in the Sponsor’s sole discretion, to use and re-use the Entry in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, in connection with the Contest. . The Entrant accepts that Entries, may, throughout the Contest and thereafter, be distributed, used, reproduced, or displayed by the Sponsor on its Contest Website or Social Media accounts. The Entrant grants to the Sponsor upon entry the right to use the Video as indicated above, without notice or compensation to Entrant and grants the Sponsor an irrevocable waiver of all moral rights protecting the Entry in favor of the Sponsor.
PRIZES: There are three (3) prizes available to be won (each a “Prize”), each Prize consisting of an opportunity for the Winner to appear in an upcoming Hotels.com commercial (the “Commercial”) as a temporary Captain Obvious (Hotels.com “mascot”) between August 14, 2017 and August 17, 2017. The form and media of the Commercial to be selected by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. the Sponsor will cover the talent fees associated with the Prize advertisement including the costs of the Work Permit fee, the session fee, and the Residual fee (collectively referred to as the “Fees”) based on the ACTRA principal performer scale rate for new media. In the event of a television advertisement, both the Session fee and the Residual fee will be upgraded for broadcast use. The actual value of the Prize will depend upon the form of advertisement selected by Sponsor. In the event of only an online advertisement, the approximate value of the Fees will be $1,375.00 (CDN) and in the event of an online advertisement and television Advertisement, the approximate value of the Fees will be $3,575.00 (CDN). Actual value of the Prize will depend upon the use by Sponsor of the commercial and fees payable under ACTRA related thereto. In order to appear in the Commercial, the winner must complete any required forms (including but not limited to a release form) (see rule 10) requested by the Sponsor. The Prize includes return economy airfare for the Winner departing from the Canadian international airport closest to the Winner’s residence to Toronto, ON; three (3) nights’ accommodations in a 4 star hotel in Toronto; $1,000.00 (CDN) in spending money in the form of a cheque made payable to the Winner; and a $1,000.00 (CDN) Hotels.com e-gift card (the “E-Gift Card”). The total approximate retail value of the Prize is between $5,025.00 (CDN) and $7,225.00 (CDN) depending on the form of advertisement. In the event the Prize winner’s closest major Canadian airport is within 100 km of Toronto or if ground transportation is considered the more appropriate way to travel (at the sole discretion of the Sponsor), the Sponsor reserves the right to provide ground transportation in lieu of airfare to/from the winner’s residence to the selected hotel in Toronto, Ontario. The Prize winner will not be compensated for their travel if their closest major Canadian airport is Toronto. Any difference between the approximate retail value and the actual value of the Prize as taken will not be awarded.
The Prize must be accepted as awarded without substitution and is not transferable, not for resale and has no cash surrender value. The Sponsor reserves the right, in the event that the Prize or any component of the Prize cannot be awarded as described for any reason, to substitute another prize or component of a prize of equal or greater value, without liability. The E-Gift Card is redeemable only at www.hotels.com/gc for prepaid bookings at eligible hotels. The E-Gift Card balance will be reduced by the amount of each purchase. If a purchase exceeds the balance, the difference must be paid with other payment method accepted by Hotels.com. Only one E-Gift Card can be redeemed per online booking. Multiple E-Gift Cards may be combined into one E-Gift Card by contacting customer support at 1-888-999-4468. Gift Cards cannot be used for the following: Bookings paid for at the hotel location or using the Pay Later option online; Bookings made over the phone; Package bookings (i.e. hotel + flight); Bookings made through Group Travel Services; Bookings made prior to receipt of the gift card. You may not use an E-Gift Card to purchase other Gift Cards. In the event the Winner is not available during the determined dates for filming/coordination of the Commercial, he/she will be disqualified and no other compensation will be awarded. There is a limit of one (1) Prize per person during the Contest Period.
